FACING AN INTERVIEW IS AN ART

Reveal your analytical attitude to thrive

Facing an interview is more of a talent than knowledge and it can be easily acquired. While your knowledge, academics and other qualifications play a major role in the hiring assessment, the appointment is still very much based on the judgment of the interviewer.

Personality

The interviewer decides whether to appoint you or not on the basis of your credentials and whether your personality will be healthy for their organisation or not. Often, interviewers go with their gut feeling on who will get the job.

So, try to speak what the interviewer is looking for. Go ahead and analyse the situation yourself before you go for the interview.

Analysing the situation

During an interview, a highly nasty discussion can crop up regarding your previous job. Questions such as these can crop up: Why are you leaving your present job? How do you evaluate your present organisation? What do you think is an ideal working environment?

Do not let panic grip you when faced with unavoidable obvious questions like: Why are you changing your job. Such questions are easy to answer only if you are easily able to twist the answer with a group reason, like, my department was consolidated or my department was being liquidated etc.

This will save you from the direct limelight of the issue. Be sure you don't make stories, act smart and prepare such answers in advance. Knowing the answer will make you comfortable during the interview.

Positive Attitude

Have a positive attitude towards your present job. Do not look annoyed while describing your previous organisation because the recruiter may just be checking your attitude.

When asked to describe the best working condition according to you, it is only to know if you will be the fit for their organization. Don't say people should be helpful, understanding and reliable. Talk from the point of view of the organisation.

You can say that you would be happy to work in a place where people are treated as fairly as possible, just to tell the recruiter that you can deal with tough situations

Good Convincing Ability

Interviewers need to be won over. They need to be convinced that you will be able to fix their troubles and help their company achieve its goals. One of the finest ways to answer interview questions is to use your career success stories.

Career success stories are an account of the crucial instant in your career when you conquered important challenges to succeed. These stories will create unforgettable impression of you.

Connecting Past Success with Future

If you are interviewing for a totally new field, make connection between your exceptional abilities and associated situations in the new field through the success you have achieved in the past.
